Bahemuka Julius
Senior Assistant Academic Registrar
Mr. Julius Bahemuka is a Senior Assistant Academic Registrar in the Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation at Kyambogo University, Uganda. His key role entails the management of student registration, records, academic results, and graduations. Julius has ten (10) years of work experience in this position and has provided guidance and advice on governance, academic policy development, and academic regulations to both students and staff within the faculty and university.
Mr. Bahemuka has also been instrumental in quality assurance reviews, which have enabled the university to create best practices in line with international educational standards in the Academic Registrar’s department. He has achieved great success in monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating academic results management systems, ensuring quality compliance and performance monitoring within both the faculty and the university.
His experience in leadership and management has led to various leadership roles, including serving as a member of the Kyambogo University Governing Council and participation in various management and ad hoc committees, especially in resolving governance conflicts between staff and university management.
Mr. Bahemuka holds a Master of Education in Policy Planning and Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation, a Bachelor’s in Education, and a Diploma in Secondary Education, all from Kyambogo University. He also holds a Certificate in Administrative Law from the Law Development Centre, Uganda, among many other leadership and management qualifications.
Julius has a passion for farming and is actively engaged in commercial agriculture, which contributes to his personal well-being and supports the economic empowerment of youth in his community.
