Biography: 

Mr. Moses Ddamulira is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Community and Disability Studies, Kyambogo University, Uganda. He holds a Master of Arts in Social Sector Planning and Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation, and a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration. With over thirty (30) years of experience, Mr. Ddamulira is a seasoned community development practitioner. He has contributed to designing bachelor’s, diploma, and certificate programs in community development for various educational institutions in Uganda. He also has extensive experience teaching courses on human diversity, disability inclusion, equity, and social justice for vulnerable individuals, groups, and communities.

Before joining academia, Mr. Ddamulira worked as a Probation and Welfare Officer at Uganda’s Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development (MGLSD), where he played a vital role in advocacy and the development of community-based interventions for protecting and promoting children’s rights across the country. He has also undertaken extensive consultancy work, developing and reviewing academic programs and conducting numerous research projects on disability, rehabilitation, social protection, and community-based inclusive development in East Africa.

Mr. Ddamulira is a founder member of the Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Africa Network, an international NGO promoting the sharing of innovations and best practices in community-based rehabilitation across Africa. He is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers of Uganda and the Association of Professional Community-Based Rehabilitation Practitioners in Uganda.
