That’s why the Department of Hearing Impairment and Sign Language Interpretation Studies at Kyambogo University is dedicated to training professionals who can effectively support learners with hearing impairments. Established in January 2022, our department offers a range of accredited postgraduate and undergraduate programs. Our team of skilled academics specializes in hearing impairment studies and Ugandan Sign Language Interpretation, providing valuable services to the university and the broader community. We are committed to advancing research, consultancy, and technical support to ensure effective participation of the Deaf community in education and beyond.
